Shipping Policies:
We ship ONLY within the United States to the following states:
AZ, AK, CA, CO, CT, DC, GA, HI, ID, FL, IL, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE
NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, SC, TX, TN, VA, WV, WI, WA, WY
Please note that every state has their own legal requirements and limitations with respect to shipping and receiving wine. It is your responsibility to know what the laws are in your locale and to order in accordance with those laws.
All alcoholic beverages are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of alcoholic beverage products. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.
Alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old. In placing your order, you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old and that the person to whom you are directing delivery is at least 21 years old. When your alcoholic beverages are delivered, the person receiving the delivery may be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old.
All orders are processed within 48 hours of our receipt of them. Wine is shipped from our store on Thursdays. All other items are shipped Monday through Friday, once the order has been processed by our sales associates. You will receive confirmation emails when we have processed your order and prepared it for shipment, as well as when the order is shipped.
Carriers used are UPS Ground and FedEx 2 Day.
Shipping charges will not be applied at the time of your order. Please refer to THIS LINK for shipping charges, broken down by zone and carrier. By placing your order, you are agreeing to the applicable shipping charges for the wine you order, as laid out in our shipping table found at the provided link. Once we have received your order, correct shipping charges will be applied and your credit card will be charged immediately in order to expedite the shipment of your order.
At the time of your order, you will have the option of selecting either UPS Ground or FedEx 2 Day. Return /Refund Policy:
RETURNS: Under California law, it is illegal to return wines once sold, except for defective wines or wines mistakenly shipped to you because of an error on our part, which may be returned for refund or replacement within thirty days of purchase. All returned wines must be accompanied with a receipt.
OLDER WINES: We do our best to ensure proper temperature-controlled storage and provenance. However, we cannot be responsible for wines older than five years from the latest vintage. This is a wine industry standard.
HEAT AND ULLAGE: Heat is the worst enemy of wine. Even on mild days the temperature inside an automobile can exceed 90 degrees F, some 35 degrees (or more) hotter than our wine cellar. This wide temperature differential can quickly "push" corks and/or create seepage and messy labels. Moreover, certain "fragile" wines can be completely ruined in a matter of hours by excessive heat. Therefore, out of fairness to our clientele, we cannot accept any returns of wines showing evidence of heat damage.
Regarding the shipment of wine, our shipping department keeps an eye on the weather and if, for example, you select ground shipping to a very hot climate, we will contact you to suggest faster shipping or request that you fill out a waiver assuming liability in the event the wine is damaged. We strive to make sure that you receive the wines in the condition they're in while sitting in our temperature controlled store and cellar. Similar measures are taken in cold weather as well.
DAMAGED MERCHANDISE: For all other merchandise, a refund or replacement product will be issued if you return the damaged merchandise within 30 days of receipt.
RETURNS OF MERCHANDISE IN ORIGINAL CONDITION: Merchandise other than alcoholic beverages may be returned in its original condition for full refund, minus shipping charges, if such return is within 2 weeks of receipt. Return shipping charges are at the expense of the customer.
ALL OTHER RETURNS OR REFUND REQUESTS: Any returns or refund requests not meeting the above conditions will be handled on a case by case basis, at the sole discretion of BiN 2860 International Wine Shop. Please contact us at info@bin2860.com or 800-446-2455 with any questions.
In all cases, returns and refunds require prior authorization from BiN 2860 Wine Shop. Please DO NOT send back merchandise without first contacting us for instructions and authorization.
